Rozhon's new pieces represent a continuation of the sculptural direction she's been pursuing since becoming a full-time professional artist in 1985. With the new pieces, Rozhon is working in low relief which allows for further exploration of the tension created between the paint or encaustic and the three-dimensional surface. The rough outer edges contribute to the sensation of memory salvaged and give them a desired theatricality.
